Women’s developing rights in the American legal and financial systems
While women’s rights to vote, divorce, adopt, and obtain an education have developed through the court system, women’s access to financial institutions through property ownership, banking, and credit lending have developed through a patchwork of legislative and regulatory changes. This program unpacks the timeline of supreme and federal court decisions, and financial regulatory changes that have moved women towards full and equal participation in society. This is not a first-person, “living history” style program.
